I'm still finishing up a couple commissions of my own, but some time soon I'd like to start collecting art of Kepler ([link]. If you're doing commissions, feel free to link me, or if you've got the hankering to do an art trade, please note me.

Also, I haven't done a kiriban in ages, but if someone catches my 99,999 or 100,000, I'd be glad to do you something!

edit: Kiriban get via *LizzyJun

edit 2: Full up with trades for now! Ahhhh excite XD

I'm moving my commissions hub to DA so I can better keep track of all this commission business!

I've made the above handy-dandy guide to all the sorts of work I'm offering. A warning- my work is going to have me busy this week, (We're finishing the game I've been working on! I actually slept at my work last night |D) so I'm going to keep slots limited still.

Interest check? I was considering something like $15 for full body sketches, $10 for waist ups and painted things for $40 or so. My job keeps me pretty occupied and I haven't had a reason to branch out and draw other things for a while, but it also might have given me a bloated conception of how much my time is worth.

Edit: Considering trying a sculpey commission too. Though that's going to be tougher. Even little things take me upwards of 4 hours, so they would end up being around $100 just for a wee thing if it were painted. I don't know if anyone would really be interested in that.

I've been on the look out for the longest time, and each time I happen on something that looks really fun or something I'd want to get in on, it's either winding down or completely dead. :( I've been out of touch for years, and now that I'm graduated I could use an awesome community to roll around on and draw for.

I've been unable to find a directory on DA, forum rps seem hit and miss and I really don't want to do play-bys, getting into an IRC rp is sort of like getting into Fight Club, and so I've been leafing through DA rps link by link- but I encounter the above dilemma more often than not.

As for genres, I'm really open to most things. Diversity is nice, I like challenges. I'd love something biological horror, but I'm open to anything. Really my dream RP would be something similar to something I saw on gaia once- it was Island of Dr. Moreau style where OCs were being experimented on and released back onto an island, but the community was pretty hardcore drama'd early on and I never got to get in on it. I've had a few ideas of my own over the years but I don't think I would want to run a community at the moment.

Does anyone have any ideas/links/suggestions?

Hey everyone! This is Marr here, just giving an update on Torren's server status- for those of you who use things like the IRC she hosts and so on. Torren is currently in the process of moving and this means, unfortunately, server downtime is a-comin'. So this means that any services she runs will not be available for a short period of time. She has informed me that things should be back up around Thursday.

Sorry for the inconvenience guys!

From here on out you can find my new work on www.peachpunk.com, most actively the blog portion.

I'll keep my old stuff on here since I really appreciate all the lovely comments people have left over the years, but it's probably about time I moved on and limit my distractions.

If I ever find myself with an expanse of free time, I might draw some things for DA again.

Finally finished the 2nd animation for class, I've still got one left to do so we'll see if I need any voice talent for that!

I'm making a 3d animated ad for a steampunk type ship in my Advanced 3D class and I desperately need an English actor to say some lines for me since I can't pull the accent off worth a shit and my girlfriend's mic is too quiet.

It would just be something simple, a few lines on a good mic will do. Here's a sample of my previous work.

I'm thinking female would be best, but I'm not against seeing how it would sound from a gent either! If you're interested please record a sample and note me with a link or an aim I can reach you at!

For the sample perhaps you could say who you are on DA, what you enjoy drawing/writing about most and how you feel about cacti if you can't think of anything to say.

edit: and on a personal note, I find cactus terrifying.

This is a reporter who's rocking the tweets on the whole ordeal so it seems to be the closest thing outsiders can get to up-to-the-minute. Looks good so far... It's interesting how even though this case is basically plaintiffs v. state with the LGBT community challenging Prop 8, it's still the two same-sex couples who seem to be on trial here with the way the 'defense' is treating it.

This is going to be an interesting trial.

Since it seems like a lot of people were interested, here's a link to an interesting news article concerning the whole ordeal. Apparently the federal proceedings are going to be taped and shown to the public.

[link]

All the better I say. In matters like this people should be made publicly accountable for their actions, considering what they do and say in there is going to effect the public as a whole depending on how this trial swings.

[link]

Prop 8 supporters are apparently attempting to block Walker's decision though, we'll have to see how this pans out.

"One of the sponsors of Proposition 8 also asked Walker today to be removed as a defendant in the case because he feared for his life. Hak-Shing William Tam was one of five campaign sponsors who intervened in the case after Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Atty. Gen. Jerry Brown declined to defend the initiative. He said the trial would bring him unwarranted publicity and possible retribution from supporters of same-sex marriage."

Apparently some mod felt it necessary to move [link] from Designs & Interfaces > Miscellaneous to Digital Art > Drawings > Illustrations > Storybook.

Not only is 80% of it quite literally a design OR interface, but there isn't one thing in there meant to be narrative illustration except for the 400x600 comic at the bottom.

I suppose the mods have to keep themselves occupied somehow, if it's by dislocating deviations then so be it o/ It's not like they ever tell you who changed something as to make them liable for their actions or who you can talk to besides a dusty help desk so I'm not even going to bother.

I've been presented with the first time one of my personal friends who's younger then me is having a baby.

< Personal opinions >

It's been odd enough watching the people I grow up with get engaged, marry, have kids (and never usually in that order and typically involving a shot gun, *sigh* How I do miss the sticks.) but now the underclassmen from grade school are starting to settle down as well.

I guess it's not really weird, not wrong at least. When people get to that 18 mark in my opinion they're old enough to know what they want to do with their life and responsible enough to pursue it or screw it up all on their own without it being anyone else's damn business. (edit: Note, I'm not saying 18 is a fine age to go popping out kids, merely that it's past the point where I stop making a :| concern face at the prospect.)

But on the other hand, I have my own mixed emotions on it. For one, I'm jealous. I really would like to have kids and whatever feminine drive that this rises from kicked into gear when I was about 18. On the other hand I'm of the school of thought that you'd want to live your life before looking after another one. Once you have a kid your life is kind of devoted to them (That's how I feel I should handle it anyways, or at least that's how my mom raised me.) and until I've broken some bones doing fun stupid shit and visited everything I've dreamed of seeing some day I'm not ready to 'settle down'.

So seeing kids I'd known suddenly pop up on facebook holding little babies they call their own, and even younger buddies sporting that tell-tale tummy is a bit of a mind-blower for me. I honestly don't know what to make of it!

</personal opinions>

Anyways, what do you guys think about this? I'm sure most of you have experienced it have your own thoughts on the subject and I'm curious.

In other news, holy shit DD! Thanks ~lizi, talk about a pleasant surprise! XD When I saw it I had a dance around my apartment.

And I'm still working on stuff for the contest :3 I've had some projects in school that've kept me busy (which I'll post up tidbits from, because I'm rather proud of them <3) Here's the jiffy so far.
