Description

A character design for a community I might get into, your run-of-the-mill 6'8" WW1 era German foot soldier (with anachronistic 1916 design hat, considering Grish served in 1920 when they were using the flat pressed-paper helmets since, you know, giant arrows pointing to head shot. German design has not always been the most functional. But I like me a Pickelhaube, so too bad, Grish.)

Actually the functionality of the Pickelhaube originally wasn't too bad, the spike had its reasons. Unfortunately when WWI finally started the Pickelhaube's design was over seventy years old and hopelessly obsolete against industrialized warfare.

Though it has to be added that while the Military equipped more modern helmets the Police and Fire Fighters continued using them for several decades, often even past WWII.
